Do you leave a sippy cup of water in your babies cot?

I have done the last couple of days. I just leave it in the corner of her cot.

I haven't even thought about it tbh but its a good idea. I may do so to ight.

She's stirring and rolling around like crazy. Ok, I'll put it in the corner of her cot. Thanks

it was finished this morning, so yes. She doesn’t wake in the night though. So, she’s drunk it when she had woken up. We don’t get her from her cot until 6.30am but she woke at 6:05am this morning and I could see her guzzling it.
She also had some when I put her to bed tonight.

We have for the past few weeks now. We leave it on the side of her cot in the same place each night. Every morning we wake up and it’s in the cot with her so she definitely knows where it is, even in the pitch black. She’s had a cough for ages and it’s definitely helped and also with this heat too x

I leave one in my little girls cot, I have done since she was 10 months old and she’s now 14 months old, she goes through a lot of water in the night, so I’m glad I do it, she always wakes up to find it has a drink throws it to the other side of the cot (you hear the thud several times night and I’m like well she’s a thirsty baby😂) I put it in the corner of her cot every night because she rolls about like mad but it always end up somewhere else lol, or she falls asleep with it beside her still holding the handle and I have to go and move it 😂 but we’ve got a nightlight in her room so she can still see it so it’s not completely pitch black, and we use glow in the dark dummies so she can always find that too, most of the time she guzzles it as soon as she wakes up in the morning, but that’ll en the heat!! She sleeps in a short sleeved pj top and shorts at the moment because she sweats during the night but touch wood with the water and the short jammies she’s been sleeping better! X x

Is this a normal thing to do? I never thought to do this? I'm so scared she'd choke on the water

Yep, I've done this since she turned 12 months. She's a thirsty girl in the night and always demands I fill it up in the morning!

Well i did it and when she woke this morning at 4.40am I thought she's up for the day (we've been having a lot of early wakes) but she found it. Drank loads, rolled around and then sat up and drank some more and then was back asleep by 5.10am and she's still sleeping now 🥰 poor babe! She must have been thirsty. I'll be doing this a lot more, from now on! X

I’ve done since around 11 months - it was when I tried to wean off milk during the night, I already had the glow in the dark tumtum so it does have a slight glow, it’s empty most mornings but the monitor doesn’t pick the sound up so doesn’t turn on when he is drinking but it does end up all over the cot with him along with the 8 dummies and 3 comforters 😂
