A few days after you get a positive ovulation test (which only actually confirms an LH surge, not ovulation), you can take a PdG test to confirm ovulation. It’s a way to measure an increase in progesterone (which is necessary to ovulation).

I’ve tracked bbt in the past to confirm ovulation and been pregnant twice so I’ve established that i usually do ovulate and now just use opks to time things. For those who say they never get a really good peak on opks or who’ve been trying a long time I’d definitely recommend getting progesterone tested in the luteal phase to confirm whether or not they are actually ovulating
