My 5 year old (turning 6 in like 2 weeks) is a little ripe at the end of the day. I'm thinking of using a natural deodorant lol. I just got a whiff and said what the actual f

I mean if they need it they need it age shouldn’t matter, I had precocious puberty and needed it along with a lot more pretty young wayy before middle school

just curious about when other peoples kids started to be funky

My eldest is 10 and just started using it

oh I totally get it, my brother is 7 and he smells FUNKY!!!!

I think around nine he started but wasn't consistent till 11-12. 5 seems kinda young but if they need it, they need it. And it's hot

Doesn’t apply to me yet, my toddler is only 2 but I would think around whenever puberty starts and their sweat glands become fully functional

My almost 2 year old wants it on every time he sees me and his dad put some on. We pretend to put it on him as he’s little. I say if you think your child needs it start early. It will just teach them that it’s the way of life (no smelly teens lol)

My 8 year old just started having BO occasionally, like not everyday… idk what’s going on with her hormones! But I wasn’t expecting her to start smelling til at least 10! Oof

This post made me giggle😂

Mines 8 and doesn’t need it yet. Think my son was 14 when he definitely needed it! That said he’s autistic and refuses to wear it which is fun.

I used to be a teacher and when I taught fifth grade I had to give them the deodorant “talk” after they came back from gym/PE one day 😅 So, I feel like 10+ is the time for most kids? It always makes me chuckle because when I left the school one of the little boys wrote me a letter that included the line “I wear deodorant every day because of you” 🤣

If someone does need it before puberty, it may be worth taking them to a doctor and just checking if they have precocious puberty. Because if they do, there are things you can do to help them.

same! It's not every single night, but yesterday was a very hot day and we were outside all day. She had a blast and her armpits were screaming at me. I ran to peanut to ask questions immediately lmao 😂

lol oh that sounds so fun 😩 try hibiclens wash. It's really great at managing odors. I actually didn't need to use deodorant for a long time when I used it. I think it's why my body can tolerate natural deodorant. And even that I don't need to wear unless I'm going to the gym. Give it a try!
