How is everyone dealing with baby’s constipation from weaning?
I’ve been giving her blended prunes (she doesn’t like anything much but she actually seems to like it!) and it doesn’t seem to do much. I gave her some two days in a row and she finally passed a really hard poo the day after. Is that normal? Should I be giving her more or giving it daily?
She loves water and drinks as much as I’d let her have, I’m keeping it to max 4oz per day.
Any tips?

Someone sent this video to me and I’ve found it really helps my little girl go! We call it magic massage now 😆

We have found blueberries really help! I either stir some into his porridge/yoghurt or make a compote style so they are nice and soft and I have also made them into jam with chia seeds. Haven’t had any constipation since eating regularly!

Honestly we were struggling but strangely after going in his bouncer/jumper he always does a poo

I’ll give it a try! How often do you do it?

ah we don’t have one of those! Makes sense though lol

usually do it for a bit at each nappy change! Also the car seat usually makes mine go, must put her in the right position 😅

My little one was going up to 9 days without pooing (EBF and weaning). We were doing tummy massage, upping water uptake, prunes (puree pouches and actual whole ones in tiny pieces) and he was still inconsolable with his last poo which was a firm hockey ball. After 5 weeks of this I went to the GP and they prescribe some lactulose. He's had one dose yesterday morning and come late afternoon he pooed, another ball followed by usual soft wet poo and he was so much more comfortable. Definitely speak to a GP if it doesn't get any better 🫂♥️😘 xxxx

ahh thank you, good to know that’s an option! Baby’s been going once a week and I feel like it’s why she’s been so grouchy the last few days. She did a really hard poo today and her mood instantly improved. I’ll check in with the GP if she’s the same next week x
