Anyone else

Anyone else struggling to bond with their 3 year old? OH MY DAYS. Its fricking hard. He has me in tears most days. Constantly challenging me. Hitting me. Screaming. Refusing. Hitting his younger baby brother. Killing insects.. after me explaining its not nice. He pushed his friend off a climbing thing other day. For no reason. Breaks all his toys cause he finds it funny. Throws his food in the bin moment looking at it cause he refuses to eat it. Even tjough he likes it normally.

Pls tell me this is a horrible phase and it will pass or does it seem he genuinely has problems and I need to consult someone about it?

I have a 3 year old little boy and ALL my mum friends with boys who are the same age are going through really awful times at the moment! ITS SUCH A HARD STAGE ISNT IT!

Three year old boys are hard!! We are all saying our boys are energetic, boisterous, don’t listen, accident prone, can have aggressive and rude behaviours especially when not wanting to share toys or being told what to do! No advice other than you are not alone so just hang in there! We are currently trying to reduce screen time and sugar and be a lot firmer around naughty behaviour introducing a lot more time out or taking things away until he’s calmed down. Still a lovely little boy but I think they are constantly testing boundaries at this age and it’s exhausting and testing. I have a newborn too! 😅

Boys get testosterone surges at 3,6,9 years old and around 15. So one reason they turn into absolute little terrors! We’ve found doing play fighting with Daddy or a father figure helps a lot and just having a space they ran run around, bash things, bang things and let it out.

But totally get you! It’s a relief when he goes to bed atm 🙈

I have a 3 year old boy and I actually dread the accident reports at nursery because he can lash out a lot at other children but nursery say he's so good
he's so argumentative everything is an issue no matter what he threw a rock at my car I explained we don't do this he continued and laughed about until I chopped the end off his dummy which he has at night time which he also will not part with hes normally really good eating and started throwing it all on the floor and shouting you eat it sometimes feels like if I speak calm he doesn't listen until I shout then he gets upset then I feel bad it's a constant circle but I'm hoping it's a phase and persistence will help 😂

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
