Do you guys think a judge can make someone get rid of thier dog?
So my bd wants to take me to court to get the baby to be allowed at his home. And I am 100% against that. His dog has bitten multiple people (including him)
I know the dog can't help it becuase it is how he was raised. Also I love dogs myself and I don't want anything happen to the dog.
But my baby comes FIRST and I don't trust that he will care for my baby while he's in his care for one, he doesn't pay attention well, he drinks at night, maybe he will put the dog in the cage but what if he let's him out or baby (1yr old) puts his fingers in ect.
If the dog hadn't ever bit anyone before I'd be less crazy about it. Do you think if I bring this stuff up the judge can say baby can come if dog leaves? Or do you think they won't really care? Be honest.

If the dog has a bite record at all, (meaning like a paperwork record of the bites) a judge would side with you that the dog should not be small children. Idk if the judge can make him get rid of the dog, but they could put specific orders that he cannot bring the dog near the child

Hey just from experience with this I had to give my dog away because of being afraid of my baby getting bit. My husband and I are expecting our first baby and we had a lot of arguments about it for months until one day he got lose and got aggressive towards a my neighbors and they had their kids there. I was so scared and that made me realize that we couldn’t keep him any longer, he was such a sweet boy towards us but will get aggressive when someone new will come over. He was my baby and I had him before I met my husband, unfortunately my dog was always like that and I cried like a baby when I had to let him go because I understood him but with a baby on the way I couldn’t risk him biting our son. Also you can also tell your BD that if he wants the baby there he needs to put the dog in a cage, that’s what we did when we had people over it was a pain every time because he will go crazy for soon as he heard people talking that wasn’t us but at least I knew everyone was safe.
@Parker 又 it's not documented anywhere unfortunately. He just has bitten his friends and family members that have came over so I don't have proof... except maybe a text message or 2 where he told me about incidences when we were dating 🤔 hopefully
@Tiffany I mean I hope so. Like I hope they tell him too. I think if they told him he had to then he may not even fight for having the baby at his (dirty alcoholic) home anyways which is my best case scenario tbh
@Kiara I'm sorry you had to do that. I know it's so difficult and sad. I hate it but some doggos can be dangerous to children or small animals and it's just about keeping little ones safe. I hope the judge would agree w me. If they tell him to cage him he will but for how long until that idiot thinks oh they are both ready to be friends now and I won't be there to stop it 😫
