Pregnancy overwhelm - HELP

Did any other young moms regret getting pregnant or get overwhelmed at the thought of having a baby? I’m 18 and 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. Morning sickness is hitting hard and I can hardly function. Depression is kicking my butt too and I don’t want to do this anymore. I can’t handle the thought of having a baby but I’m morally against abortion. I’m so lost and confused. My husband and I have been married only 3 months and he’s overwhelmed too. He’s trying his best to support me but he only has so much to give. I don’t know what to do with all the negative feelings I’m having. I just want to be happy about this. I’m currently living on a family members couch and so is my husband. He lost his job and we lost where we were living because of it. My marriage was already struggling before I found out I was pregnant and we’re doing our best but this is terrifying.

Regret? No but I was going through pure emotional hell. I was also 18 and going through a very messy situation where my kids father was 40 and I was going through a breakup and moving and being told by complete strangers that I should’ve kept my legs closed. Negative feelings come with being a teen mom unfortunately just based off what I’ve seen but when the pregnancy is over it’ll be one of the best feelings you’ll ever experience with or without your village

I know how you feel I’m currently going into my 3rd year of college I’m 20 and going to be 20 weeks on Monday when I found out I was pregnant. I literally cried for basically two weeks because I didn’t want this for me at this moment because I knew I wasn’t financially ready. I don’t have a place to stay. I don’t even like my BD in that capacity, he’s a cool person, but I don’t like him like that. I only like him as a friend, and I didn’t really want to have relations or anything but I’m also strongly against abortion for myself. And I’ve been stressing on what I’m going to do how I’m gonna be able to raise a child and get a job and get a car and find somewhere to live and continue my education but me personally I ended up putting it in the hands of God I don’t know if you’re into that type of stuff and I’m sorry if you’re not, but that’s what I did and it gave me a sense of peace.

what you’re feeling is valid. i was 21 and in my second year of uni when i found out i was pregnant with a guy i was in an unstable relationship with. i didn’t know what to do. i wasn’t ready, but couldn’t imagine doing adoption, and had a hard time with the thought of an abortion. i ended up booking an abortion and baby daddy told me he thought we should keep it so i canceled and he left shortly after. pregnancy was lonely, terrifying, and exhausting. when baby girl was born, i was scared but i adapted and i can’t imagine my life without her. don’t get me wrong, i still have struggles i mean hell i can’t even announce myself as her mom because i’m struggling with identity issues and loss of old life 15 months later, but i love her and i know she was exactly what i was missing in my life. you’ll adapt when the time comes, but i can totally understand the desire to just be happy about it because i felt the same

Yes! Especially when me and my baby’s dad split up, and I was going through so much, some days I still have doubts about being pregnant but in the end and ultimately I’m happy or more pro ding peace with the way things have gone and the choices I have made

I’m 19 and will be 20 when I have my baby. I will never regret being pregnant with mine because yk she aint ask to be here. What I do regret is who her daddy is and will continue to regret that for the rest of my life knowing he’s not a good person. The first trimester will always be hard in my opinion and due to her dad being abusive it was even harder for me with all the pregnancy symptoms I was experiencing and feeling alone. A point in time i was thinking I should abort her because of how bad my depression got again, but she’s really the only thing keeping me going right now. The decision is up to you while you’re still early on what you want to do, but me I realized even if my family didn’t work out sometimes a family is just the mother and her child and with that mentality ik I’ll be ok. She’s all I have
