Swollen hands and feet, a worry or normal?

(38+3) First pregnancy..
Have woken up with swollen hands and feet for the first time, feet aren’t itchy but my hands are slightly tingly and itchy. No headache, and did have a pain under my ribs, right side, when I was just waking up, but it’s gone now after walking about.

Is this normal and just part of full term pregnancy i.e water retention ? Or should i be going to get checked over to double check? Health anxiety is making me worry every new thing is Pre-eclampsia! Partner also won’t be home till late afternoon which is making me overthink it more because I’m home alone

Can you call your healthcare provider and have a chat? They can advise you on whether they think it’s nothing or whether they think you should head into a clinic or hospital to get checked out

Could be absolutely normal (heat related) so don’t panic, but definitely best to get checked over. I had the same thing and they wanted to check my blood pressure/urine for other potential pre eclampsia signs just in case

Yh I'm the same. I'm 38 weeks and the last few days my feet have really swelled. I think it's just the heat.

Do get checked having itchy hands and feet (which were also swollen from the heat) is how I found out I had Cholestasis x
