I’m nervous because I feel like I’m not gonna be a good mom 🥺

Thank you 🙏🏻

Why do you feel that way?

Because I have ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar, and my bf has all this as well, and I’m used to having people hate anything I do and so I’m a people pleaser who just does whatever people say and they’re reactions give me PTSD from certain tones and yelling and stuff like that.

Awwe you’re going to be a great, good, wonderful mom! 💃🏻✨✨

Take a step at time boo & don’t stress to much

It can help to remember that pretty much the first six months all of a baby’s needs are pretty simple and more task-oriented than abstract: physical connection, affection (smiles, oohs and coos), feeding, bathing, temperature regulation, diaper changes, safety, and rest.
Also, it’s ok to be in survival mode for the first several weeks, even months. I tirelessly researched pregnancy birth and infant care as a first time mama and it helped but we still had to learn *our* baby who for example refused all pacifiers and swaddles.
Almost all moms feel this way and if anything it’s an indication that you are thoughtful and care about doing a good job which means you are going to really try your hardest for baby.
I have anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and honestly some regular therapy and learning coping techniques for my triggers has been hugely helpful.
Whatever you do, plan postpartum care around prioritizing your recovery and *sleep*
