Help!! What is this on my lip!?

I scratched my lip last night with my nail and straight away these little tiny blisters formed. Now I've woken up this morning and my lip is even worse and a bit swollen too. I don't get cold sores, i never have done. So what could this be?

Get some compeed plasters (I think that’s how you spell it) and some Zovirax to help it heal quickly x

@Julia I'm pregnant so wasn't sure what I could use. I'm going to the pharmacy in a couple of hours so I can see what they say x

I’ve always used the plasters and the cream during my pregnancy and everything was fine. Also during pregnancy your immune system is basically non existent which is why you will have started with a cold sore as your hormones are all over the place.

I often get them due to stress and tiredness in pregnancy and I ended up with one as I was giving birth due to the stress and traumatic experience so it’ll be worth having something in your hospital for it incase you get it again x

@Julia thank you, il get some of those today x

You may have been exposed to the virus but never had a breakout until now. Your immune system is lower whilst pregnant (so that your body doesn’t reject the baby)
So I reckon with possible stress and your immune system being lower than normal, the virus has come out.
Be extra careful when baby is born re kissing etc xxx

Please let your midwife know as well & your consultant so they monitor these outbreaks
