Most people I know change it to a plastic/pvc type one. And getting a size bigger to allow room for your skin to stretch

I changed mine to a maternity one but got asked at my 36 week growth scan and extra growth scan at 38 weeks to take it out so they could do the scan more easily. I never bothered putting it back in before birth and tbh haven't tried in the 9 months since I gave birth

I got a bendy plastic bar to allow for more stretch - this time around I still have my metal one in and hasn’t started to hurt yet!

I used a plastic maternity one. I got a cheap pack on amazon that came with different sizes as your belly changes. Only took it out to have C-section x

I got a long plastic maternity bar when my belly grew and then put my normal bar back in after birth
