Baby is 3 months old.
My mother in law has a pool cleaned with Chlorine. But I would love to lounge with baby in the pool soon before the season is over. But of course I’d like everyone’s take on it first.

I was told they are supposed to be at least 6 months

Following because u have a three month old

If you rub coconut oil on baby’s skin it will act as a protective barrier from chlorine.

So babies can't temperature control till 6 months. That on top of the chlorine and germs if a Public pool. It's advised at least waiting till 6 months

My baby went in at 8 weeks. I asked his doctor about sunscreen and she said the blue lizard was good to use. I bathe him after going in to get the chlorine off.

I took mine at 2 months our pediatrician said it was fine as long as it’s once in a while and to use mineral sunscreen on the baby
Also I took mine to a private pool so it was just family and close frnds. And these are things I used and did.
- mineral sunscreen for babies
-fully covered swimsuit
-she was on a baby floater which had shade
-she was in the water only for 40-45 mins

^Also gave her a bath right after

I plan on taking my baby to a clean pool around 3 months after she’s got her vaccines I was a swim teacher so I know how to protect my baby

My concern would just be the chlorine. I plan to let my 3 month old play in a kiddie pool so he can play in water but his skin won’t get too dry from the chemicals

You can put on some aquaphor or shea butter something thick to help create a barrier between the skin and water

I took mine in my grandmas chlorine pool at 2 months
