Confused about egg allergy

I have a three month old baby girl and doctors suspect she has CMPA so I have cut dairy. I also noticed a reaction when I ate an omelette (I literally never eat egg like this) and was advised to just not eat whole egg.

Anyway it’s been five weeks DF now and she has been a lot happier the past week.

But this week it’s like we are back to square one. We have been on lansoprazole for almost a month now too and I really felt like that helped but now I’m not so sure. I don’t want to continue the prescription if this isn’t helping anymore.

I’m confused with the egg though. What should I not be eating? I was told eggs baked in foods is different to whole eggs but what does that mean?

I eat a lot of mayo, salad cream etc, does that not count as baked in?

I don’t even know if I’m making sense. I’m just so confused.

Mayo and salad cream contain raw egg so unfortunately not baked off hun. It basically means the cooking process gets rid of some of the protein. Not all but the more baked, the lesser the protein. So cakes are a good place to start and eventually you end up with things like mayo which is not cooked off at all.

Its likely the Mayo causing the reaction, hellmans does an amazing vegan one 😊
