Hi! I just wanted to check, before adding boiled water to my Nuby rapid cool when making feeds at home, do I need to leave the kettle for up to 30 mins to cool down a little or can I use straight away?
Also, just checking you add the boiling water first and then the formula to the Nuby? Thanks!

When using a kettle, I’ve always used the water pretty much straight away, but some people say that boiling water kills the nutrients in the formula, but we’ve never had issues that I can tell from doing it that way, I guess just follow instructions on the tin and do what works best for you! We’ve got a rapid hot machine so we can select what temp the water is dispensed at. I’ve always added the water first, then formula second x

You can use the boiled water straight away. I add the formula first as that’s what my prep machine does but I don’t think it matter either way x

My HV said that the water needed to be boiling to kill any bacteria in the formula. So I first pour the boiling water into the bottle to measure the amount of water then pour about 3/4 of the boiling water into the Nuby rapid cool and shake to cool down. I then add the formula to the remaining boiling water in the bottle to use as a hot shot. I then pour the cooled down water from the nuby rapid cool into the bottle making sure I don’t spill any! I hope that makes sense!
