Contact naps

Hi! Just after some advice re contact naps… I do love them but I am getting to the point now I want to teach my LO to sleep in her cot / moses basket during the day for her naps.
Does anyone have any advice on how to transition them? Without the ‘cry out’ method?
My LO sleeps so well at night but during the day, especially if we are out, she won’t settle when she’s tired. She is almost 12 weeks 😊 thanks!

Currently my baby falls asleep on me I wait ten minutes ish until she is in a deeper sleep and then move her. She’s 5 weeks x

Ok thank you! I haven’t quite mastered putting her down without waking her up yet 😂 she makes herself jump and wakes up x

Try with the first nap of the day as it tends to have the greatest sleep pressure, and keep the room pretty consistent to night time - we don’t always leave the black out up as we want him to be used to sleeping in lighter conditions but always use the white noise, same way to get him to sleep etc. We can hold him for about 12 mins to get into a deep sleep before transfer (very specific but it works!) without it being too early or late; then down bum first, hand on chest until he’s settled. Prepare for the first few to be short so you might need to step in and repeat the process x
