Is it safe to have a moses basket for baby to sleep in with a stand around a toddler (1.5yrs old)
Thinking about where our newborn will nap during the day while I'm playing with our first born. Advice on this would be great ☺️
Scared of the basket being pushed over by the toddler. Will be in front room with oldest walking around and playing. So I can keep an eye on both.

If you can afford you could get a travel cot for downstairs.?

I dont know how your home is set out but you could get like a doggy gate 😂🤦🏻♀️ , It's like a stairgate but bigger and that way you could section off some of the room especially when baby is asleep? Then that way your 1.5yr old cant come into much contact with baby?
Something on these lines? You can always fold it up when not in use x

We had no issues with my 2 year old and the Moses basket :) he was very gentle and never knocked it/touched it really! It was a lifesaver having one in the living room, we used it for a long time too, until he couldn’t fit in it anymore haha

We were going to get a moses basket for the livingroom, but the few times I had our newborn in the pram bassinet our toddler kept trying to rock him. So now if he's downstairs we let him sleep in a rocker supervised or in the pram bassinet on the other side of one of our stair gates 😅

Have you seen the najell sleepcarrier x? It’s like a Moses basket you can take around the house with you x

I used one in the lounge when my daughter was young, was fine my oldest wasn’t really that fazed by it as usually when baby was in it we was playing with her!

We did to start with (my girls are 13m apart) but then had to stop using it on the stand as my eldest started to climb in to cuddle with her sister. We didn't have the room to have a travel cot (but she slept in one at my mum's when we would visit) so she would either sleep in it on the floor with close observation or go in her cot in the bedroom (we lived in a one bed granny annexe so very compact) . As she grew older they used the moses basket without the stand to play in together which was super cute.

i was thinking about this too i might just put a play pen around the nb or get a stand with wheels

I was thinking this to with a 18 month old atm that climbs everywhere , I’ve got his moses basket stand that rocks and is thick so going to put baby in it when downstairs but if my toddler climbs near it just keep moving him away and say baby sleeping hopefully he will learn and be caring
