Why why why do they not make baby shoes WITH TREAD? like 0-6 months I understand but like my son is walking only now and he’s a size 2 shoe at 11 months old. I know most kids don’t walk till they are a year but we have been struggling with him slipping everywhere or tearing holes in his cloth bottom shoes since he started walking at 9 months. It’s just frustrating that I can really only find size 4 and up with tread. Anyone else in the same predicament? Or does anyone know where we can find some shoes? Lol.

Use hard bottoms. Like the old school ones. My son started walking around that time and that’s all he wore until his feet grew.

They don't recommend hard bottoms this young. Some of the sock shoes have silicone dots on the bottom to prevent falls

yes that helps with being indoors but I’m talking outside. He needs shoes with tread for pavement or wood chips at the park

Its still recommended to use soft soles even outside. I personally don't know of any this small. Have you checked striderite?

A lot of stuff not recommended but we do it anyway and the children be just fine. Well i can’t speak for everybody but mine are just fine and walking balanced without falling. The old school hard bottoms are for babies who are learning how to walk. Especially at 11 months. Hard bottoms are fine.

I was able to buy a stride rite shoe size 3 for my daughter at DSW. I believe they make a size 2 but you have to order online. So far I have been impressed with them.i was hesitant to buy them because they were 35 to 40 bucks but they are holding up great. She also started walking at 10 months. Got the shoes at 9 months.
