Baby hates the car

Does anyone else’s baby absolutely hate the car? My LO used to love it and fall asleep but now she screams whenever she is in there. I am wondering if it is a comfort issue with her car seat or she just genuinely hates it! Baby girl is 12 weeks old

I was utterly convince my little boy hates the car seat (and we drove a lot so I was starting to dread any car journey) but for us it was about finding the right thing for him to feel comfortable in it. For some reason that’s: music playing, car seat shade down, muslin blanket around him up & sometimes a fan whirring next to his ear 🤣 I sit next to him so I think he gets really upset if he sees that I’m not holding him, so I try and keep him from realising I’m there for as long as possible.

Sometimes we have to time it right & get him in whilst he’s sleepy.

Sometimes he’s screamed bloody murder & we’ve had to stop to calm him down before trying again. There’s been a lot of start/stops!

We also bought the car seat into the house & had him sit in it for a bit of playtime, just to build up that positive association.

I’m obviously no expert but I *think* this has all massively helped because he’s so much better in it now. Lots of trial & error though ❤️

My son always screamed in the car. He hated it. Still does and he’s nearly 3 but I got a portable dvd player for him which is keeping him chilled for now.

He used to cry until he vomited even on short 10-20 min journeys. My mum didn’t believe me until she had to deal with the sick at the side of the road with me on a quick trip to the beach.

I almost had to forward face him he was that bad but thankfully before I did it settled but he was about 19 months when it did.

Current baby just chills and looks out the window 😂

Have you tried removing the newborn insert from the car seat? I read somewhere that when baby measures 60cm, it's no longer needed.

Hi yes we have, it’s actually since we removed that she seems more unhappy… but I’ve watched a load of YouTube videos and fiddled around with the head rest etc and fingers crossed she seems better - I also sing twinkle twinkle little star on repeat 😂

So I’ve put mine in the front with the airbag off (checked it’s fine in my car) and she is fine now just wanted to see me! I can now tocuh her hand etc if she needs x

I will definitely try her in the front! Thanks

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
