I lost twins at ~10wks. D&C at 11 weeks on 18th July. Home pregnancy tests are still positive, not strong though.
Is there a level HCG needs to drop to before ovulation can occur? and should I be getting this tested via a blood test?

We are lucky enough to have 2 kiddos already and this is our first experience with pregnancy loss so we have a positive outlook going forward

Hcg needs to be near zero for your hormones to pick up a cycle and ovulate again. If a 25 pregnancy test still shows up positive it's not low enough yet.
Oh interesting. I’ve got clearblue which I think is 10.
Might go to get a blood test on Friday at 3 weeks post to get a better idea
thank you!
Yeh I’ve only tested the once at 2 weeks post D&C.
Just curious as to potential timelines or when I should start testing for ovulation.

I’ve had a D&C on the 9th of July, and I’m still testing faint positive. Just had a blood test at EPU. I think I’ve ovulated similar time I’d normally would, but because of my HCH levels my LH tests looked crazy, so I can only go by cervical mucus changes. My period arrived yesterday though, so my cycle length was 27 days, which is pretty normal for me. We want to try again too this coming cycle. My advice is to wait for your period, and then try, as you won’t know what gestation you are. Good luck!
Thanks
I’m not really fussed on the gestation, as I usually ovulate late for a normal cycle length so the two kiddos I have were both back dated up to 2 weeks based on their measurements at the dating scan when I had firm dates anyway.
I figure why not try and catch that first ovulation if we can.
But good to know the ovulation tests are likely to be inaccurate.
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻good luck for your next cycle

Thank you!
Just an update.
As I seem to be very regular with my cycle: even though I’m still testing positive on a clear blue home pregnancy test, I have a positive ovulation test (digital clear blue) today, and all the other signs that go with ovulation 🤞🏻
The D&C being estimated as day 1 of my cycle seems pretty accurate
Update: I fell pregnant after 2 cycles,
I was testing positive for HCG for 8 weeks, so that may have affected ovulation even though LH surge was still being recorded on schedule etc.
Now 20weeks 🙏🏻

Congrats! 🙂
