Dr. Brown should pay for his crimes

I’m sorry but if I ever meet Dr. Brown I will be hitting him over the head with one of his bottles. Jk 🤣😅😂 but gosh those bottles are sickening and I feel like everyone buys them thinking it’s the best option for their little one. My daughter isn’t overly sensitive but I’d love any bottle suggestions you all have. I’ve used Nanobebe (or whatever it’s called), lantisho (or whatever lol), and Medela (ALSO HORRIBLE! Flow is so fast my daughter’s face gets wet before the bottle even gets to lips).

They sell a preemie nipple for the Dr browns bottles if that’s the issue. They are our favorite bottles

I like Phillips Avent Natural flow or Nuby

Avatar

I had the same issues with Dr. Brown bottles! Philips Avent are the only ones that worked for us because the milk only flows when the baby sucks and stops flowing when they stop

Avatar

the nips are great flow wise just the bottles always leak or get that vacuum effect where baby isn’t getting any milk out the bottle. :/

Avatar

we tried Phillips and nothing would come out for baby girl. I will try Nuby. Thank you!

Avatar

Phillips Avent all the way!!!!

Avatar

Evenflo have been my new favorite. Glass ones are crazy ridiculous price because they’re so hard to get but plastic do fine as well

Avatar

I have used them exclusively for two kids and never had an issue with either of those. Are you putting them together correctly?

Avatar

I use Mam for my 4 month old daughter and I love these. She is on the flow for her age and she’s picky but loves these bottles. I highly recommend them. You can get them at Walmart.

Avatar

mam bottles!! That’s what we use it’s the only one he would take beside the Phillip avent but the flow was too fast if you get the mam use the size 0 nipple size 1 was too fast for my son

Avatar

We had the same issue with Dr. Brown. We switched to Evenflo balance+ and they have been good so far.

Avatar

Mam is our twins favorite bottles.

Avatar

I have the big ones as well as the small ones. I also have old Dr. B and the new Dr. Bs I also have plastic ones as well as glass 🤣🤣🤣

Avatar

I might not be. I have some old ones and new ones.

Avatar

I love the pigeon brand

Avatar

We liked comotomo

Avatar

I also used dr.brown bottles with my oldest I’ve noticed the do leak a lil but you have to make sure every piece is in correctly

Avatar

Wait should I make a video showing how I put it together and can yall give feedback if im doing it correctly?

Avatar

It isn’t always the putting together that’s necessarily that’s “wrong” but it’s really easy for it to get off the tracks and leak out the side. I always think it’s screwed on right, and it looks that way, but then it leaks 😂 so I have to be really slow and careful to screw it on the correct way

Avatar

We use Dr Brown preemie nipple. We had a swallow study done and that was the hospital recommendation. We used mam 0 flow before that. The preemie is a very slow flow. There is a huge difference between the preemie and the 1 flow

Avatar

We liked the Evenflo wide mouth, but their lowest flow was still super fast. We were combo feeding so we used the preemie nipples with Dr B. Unfortunately once he was old enough for the Evenflo again, he was clicking soooooo bad on them we had to switch back. They leak so bad even when just standing on the counter!

Avatar

I’m not gonna lie I feel like I’m being gaslighted 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 im over here laughing so hard.

Avatar

I just know my experience lol. We use preemie nipples and he can still get through 6 ounces in like 10 minutes so I know it’s not doing a vacuum seal thing. Like I said though, they have leaked for me, so definitely know that can happen. They also always look like they are on right and then my boy’s shirt gets all wet 🤪 it’s really hard to tell if it’s on the tracks correctly (at least for me)

Avatar

I went through so many bottles because the flow was too fast. My baby loves the Philips avent with nipple size 1. We did try evenflo balance + and while the flow wasn’t fast at all my baby did not like the nipple.

Avatar

I like the Avent natural. My boys favorite bottles. I liked the boon bottles with my first, but she didn't use bottles much.

Avatar

I use the NUK Simply Natural Baby Bottles! I love them! I go from breastfeeding to those bottles and baby doesn't mind. They have both a slow and fast flow where you can choose which one you like more! And they are so cute lol

Avatar

I wish I could change to mam bottles my daughter hates them and I bought 4 😭😂

Avatar

I got some Mam bottles I’ll let yall know how they work. I just got them clean and baby girl is napping.

Avatar

Have been using lansinoh bottles to combo feed since week two. Comes with size 2 slow flow nipple. If you are breastfeeding I would recommend going down to a size 1 nipple.

Avatar

Philips advent natural flow is the best, highly recommend, especially if you are breastfeeding and want to maintain

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
