Swimming on holiday

We just use one of those pool noodles and hold her otherwise, but she has been doing swim lessons since 10 months, so were used to being in the water with her.

We had 2 sit in boats at the beginning of our holiday but on our last day we got her arm bands and I wish we had them from the start. The ones we had were 3+ so obviously make your own judgements but she was so confident in the water and we was right beside her 24/7 and she loved the independence. She learned to lean forward and push with her arms when she had the arm bands on so they were really beneficial to her

Happy nappy or happy nappy wet suit.

Water sling sometimes but no floatation devices. Same for all three of my kids.

There’s some thought that vests and armbands get them used to a position and buoyancy that makes it easier for them to drown, being upright is not how you swim and it gives them an inaccurate sense of confidence.
