My son has recently had to avoid dairy and gluten. We’ve found Dino nuggies and waffles that are gluten free but I struggle to find snacks that are both gluten and dairy free. Does anyone have any options? He’s very picky, and it’s hard to find dairy free yogurt they are always sold out. He loves veggie straws but I need to find more variety. Where do you shop for affordable gluten and dairy free options

My biggest advice is to look for things that are naturally gf and df. Sooo corn chips and dip, fruit, lots of rice cracker options, lunch meat, meat sticks. Our snacks are mainly fruit and maybe some crackers to go with it. For bread, Costco has 2 packs of canyonhouse gf bread for a good price, I recommend toasting it to make it taste better. Trader joes is also really nice, they have the best vegan cream cheese and their oatmilk is cheaper than most places, they also have really good gf/df bread and bagels.

Once upon a farm had coconut milk pouches. Solely fruit snacks are just fruit. You could buy gluten free pasta & use dairy alternative cheese to make Mac & cheese.
Simple mills is a really good brand to look into. Also, Aldi sells a decent amount of gluten free

My son will eat a lot of fruits and veggies but the only meat he will eat is hotdogs and chicken nuggies. We’ve made salmon bites we call beach nuggies. He won’t touch noodles unless it’s ramen and that’s not gluten free.
He loves yogurt, chips, popcorn and Cheetos. Cheetos are gluten free but not dairy free.
He’s very picky like anything messy or a certain texture he won’t eat. We are on a wait list for food therapy because it’s so bad. Now he can’t have dairy or gluten. He’s 37-38 inches tall and only 27lbs and will be 2.5 in October and I have an 8 month old that will eat anything. He’s already 22-23lbs in 18-24month clothing which my toddler just grew out of
I just wish I could help him more. It makes me feel so helpless especially when he’s always getting sick and constantly taking him to pediatricians.

He will sometimes eat plain noodles with butter. My MIL makes uncrustables but he won’t eat those. I’ll have to try the spinach bites

We are a gluten free household bc i have celiac’s disease. My toddler eats gf at home and we don’t have any issues - my recommendations , there’s tons of rice noodles, rice pastas, chickpea pastas. Try taste republic pastas (fresh pastas that take 3 min to make) , they started making plant based cheese tortellinis. We eat a lot of corn tortillas, grain free taco shells and chips (Siete is the best)
Schar and Canyonbakehouse are my go to for gf bread, crackers, pastries that also happen to be dairy free. They sell at Costco if you want to buy in bulk
Walmart surprisingly has an awesome gluten free aisle. Other stores that have good selections Sprouts, Heb, Whole Foods and thrive (online store)

I know it might be hard to do - but try not to eat gluten or dairy in front of him. It was sooo difficult for me as an adult to stick to being gluten free as an adult , that’s one of the reasons we have a gf household.
I can’t imagine as a toddler being told no and not understanding why.

idk if you have Asian grocery stores near you but the one near me has ramen shaped rice noodles.

I’m actually allergic to milk so I buy plant based dairy products like milk and butter. My son has struggled with me telling him no to his favorite snacks but I’m going to donate the snacks to his preschool that he can’t eat. And I did have him go shopping with me to pick out gluten free snacks before we knew he couldn’t have dairy.
He has yellow day at school this week and I have to go shopping for stuff the make a nut, gluten, and dairy free duck cake from Bluey and I was thinking about taking him with me to help me pick out dairy free and gluten free and teach him which symbol to look for in snacks. It sounds like a difficult thing but he loves looking for shapes and letters and numbers so maybe looking for the symbols would be fun and show him which things he could eat

really? We have an Asian market near us it’s small but maybe they’d have them there do you know the name of them?

we have Hmart, 99 Ranch Market, Lotus, and few others. I live in an area with a high Asian community.
My mom was gluten and dairy free and wegmans, Whole Foods, moms, and the Asian markets was where we mostly shopped.

I’ll have to look at target too. We used to live in an area that had a lot of vegan stores but we moved to a small town 2 hours or so from Florida now. We don’t have Whole Foods, sprouts, Trader Joe’s. We have an aldi and target, Walmart. And 1 Asian market
