My baby girl is also due in September, I’ve asked my midwife and she said “yes it’s good if you remember to give her the drops, but don’t stress if you forget” so I guess the advice is pretty relaxed here! I’ve got some from Holland & Barrett and plan to give her the vit D drops as in the UK we don’t usually get an awful lot of sun! If you are using formula then you shouldn’t give any vitamins because they’re already in the formula.

Vitamin d daily for a baby who is breastfed. Don’t do the drops if you are formula feeding, this has the vitamins in

Yes Vitamin D because I’m planning to exclusively breastfeed.

Vitamin D ideally should be given all year round.
The advice is to give it once a day - there is no “set time” as to when to offer it as long as it’s once a day everyday.
Formula on the other hand is fortified with vitamins so if baby is fully formula fed then they don’t need it until 1 and their on cows milk where they’ll make to vitamins A, C, D.

Used vit d with my first born and absolutely no issues from it x

I would just recommend you find the brand that only needs one drop and doesn't need to be refrigerated. Giving a whole 1ml and having to wash the dropper and get the bottle back in the fridge is a nuisance you don't need with a new born.

It’s only for if there’s breast fed as it’s already in formula xx
