I didn't want to pay a lot of money so I found some widefit barefoot type ones on amazon and bought some stride rite ones from vinted

Clarks are the standard go to. However there are lots of other brands out there (and you don’t pay the high price tag). As long as you measure their feet correctly, I’d go for a soft sole to begin with. I have bought many pairs of MK Matt Keely shoes. And no offence to Clarks but they don’t have the best range of design. Lacofia is also another nice brand.

Start-rite all the way. Get them measured in a shop the first time so you can see how it’s done, then you can buy a measuring gauge on Vinted for about £5 and they have a clearance section on their website with first shoes for £10. Compared them to Clarks and they are just much nicer - much softer leather and really well made

Before I got chance to go to Clark’s to have him measured I ordered some first walkers off Amazon. Once I knew what size I needed I just searched on Vinted for some Clarks shoes

Have a look on vinted once you know size as kids shoes are super cheap on there x
