Preparing for birth

Hi girls, I want to know if anyone has any tips for preparing for birth? May be slightly TMI - sometimes I have pain during sex and not sure if this indicates I need to get down there ready for birth? I have seen the epi-no training devise - has anyone used this or similar? Thanks in advance x

I did take a birth prep class -there are many online and sometimes the NHS trust also offers them. I also read hypnobirthing books etc

I get pain too (think I have vaginismus). I didn’t do anything to prepare for birth. I did end up having an episiotomy and instrumental delivery but that was because my baby’s head was positioned awkwardly. I had a water birth with my second baby and it was much quicker and easier.

I used a EPI-No maybe 4 or 5 times pre birth and found it helpful to practice staying relaxed. I ended up having an episiotomy as baby was sunny side up, but no natural tearing or damage inside after a long labour, so not sure if it was the EPI-No completely.
