I feel so bad saying this but I have to say it all he wants and all he repeats is gummies, lollipops, or TV
Either I'm completely failing as a mom because I'm so burnt out as a single mom that I don't know what the fuck to do anymore
And no matter what I try all he does is repeat those three words in many different ways in fact in a way now where he manipulates the situation and tries to butter me up and then he inserts gummies lollipops and TV again and again and again
I've had to walk away so many times because I can't take it anymore. I can't even breathe let alone read two words of one sentence of a fucking book that I want to read
He is surrounded by everything you could think of safe environments playground everything food variety of fruits vegetables and delicious food that's not even like great but like even chicken fingers or pasta or something. And none of it works
He surrounded by goodness and I'm afraid he doesn't even choose socializing or anything over these three things
I also give him as much attention as I can in quality time as I can but nothing is working with this fucking child

Girl if I were you headphones. And provide with everything except tv gummies and lollipops and wait til he gets hungry enough to eat the healthier food and only books until he even forgets the word tv maybe I’m extreme but I’d even go so far as to remove tv altogether

1st I'm glad you know when to walk away. Many moms don't and it leads to bad things down the road.
2nd how old is he? If he's under 2 I would think he'd start communicating better soon. Just stick it out until he's about 28 months it should rapidly turn around then. If he's over 28 months and this is the only communication he manages is consider testing for early intervention.
3rd pay attention when trying new things how he interacts with it. it could be sensory issues texture etc ..or it could be taste. Keep a food diary for a little while then bring your concerns up with his pediatrician.

Oh ok good. There will hopefully be a shift soon. However if he remains hyper fixated on the 3 things over the next 3-6 months I would consider early intervention measures.

I can't really elaborate because I don't have enough information about your child. In my experience though hyper fixation was one of the first signs that my oldest son has autism. I only point those things out when I notice them because many parents aren't aware of what could be a sign

I think you should congratulate yourself because you have kept your child alive as a single mum! If I was a single mum, I would probably put my son on the TV about 10 times longer than I let him watch it now. Even then I would not be able to make it through the day without screaming and crying uncontrollably. Perhaps having an understanding of autism may help but also giving yourself a pat on the back for being an awesome mum may help too! With TV using a timer has been helpful for me. The timer is apparently divine, it's not mummy saying you need to stop, it's the timer ....

We have had issues with my daughter regulating herself with tv. One of the things we have done is get a tonie box, so she still has the option for downtime and listen but without the stimulation of the screen.
The other thing I read was that new films and series are much more addictive and stimulating for kiddos because of the bright colours. Maybe if you do put the tv on, you could try some of the older shows / films?
