Advice on little one throwing objects

With our little ones turning 2 soon, has anyone been noticing their kids throwing things when they get frustrated? What do you say or do to try to get them to understand that they shouldn’t throw? When my girl gets frustrated she throws her toys and I tell her “let’s be gentle with our hands or can we put our toys down gently please” but she still throws them anyway. It’s really getting me frustrated 😭

I don't have that but I have different signs of frustration and upset happening like biting self sometimes me, and laying down and crying on the floor

No advice but since mine throws as well, I’ve started putting away toys that could cause injuries like toy cars, blocks, etc and replace them with soft dolls, stuffed animals and plushy toys. Hoping that would bore them since the impact wouldn’t be as satisfying as throwing a loud, hard object haha

My daughter doesn’t bite or cry on the floor but I did notice this book on Amazon when I was searching for a book on no throwing. This hopefully would be useful for you https://a.co/d/5cnhw3g

That is actually not a bad idea lol I’ll try that and see if it helps, thanks!

Yeah sometimes leaning into a skill they are working on might help. Purposely playing throwing games at other times. But also what do you think your kiddo wants when they're doing this behaviour? Can you proactively give them more of what they need so they don't get frustrated/ do it for attention perhaps?

I know my daughter does these tantrums when she wants me to hold her... It's not possible for me to always hold her but sometimes I can give her attention first and then she'll choose to leave me and play on her own

So I noticed that she tends to throw her toys or objects when she’s playing with something then gets frustrated with it because she doesn’t know what to do or is having trouble with the toy. If I show her how to use the toy she loses patience and just starts scrambling with it to get me to stop touching them then she throws it. Other times she will just stand up and randomly throw it at our dog or hit our dog and when I tell her we have to use gentle hands and show her how to gently pet the dog she just walks off

Yeah it's normal behaviour... You wo t get them to stop that at this age. You can control the environment... Don't give her the toys that are frustrating when she's tired. Distract her with something else, offer to trade toys with her instead of touching the one she has in hand

Okay, that makes sense I appreciate that advice, thank you!

Yeah No problem! You're doing all the right things and just supporting her to keep her cool will help her develop her brain so that eventually she won't need to act out on her frustrations. Oh, also keep your baby and dog separate if you need to for a, while.. You donr want the dog learning she's mean and then might react badly to her one time.

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
