Autism or speech delay

This all sounds completely normal to me for this age to be honest? But no harm in contacting the HV early if you are worried! As it could be 2.5 years for the next check

So my son has been under early help through the health visitor since he was 15 months old they are the ones that picked up saying that they were concerned about his social emotional development. He is now 22 months old and his neurologist has done his own referral stating that he needs a neurodevelopment assessment as he has basically no social skills he stims a lot he lines absolutely everything up in a really obsessive way he has started tiptoe walking. He also has very minimal language. He has been under Speech And Language honestly if I was you I would contact your health. There is no harm in asking them to come and do his two year check at the age of two rather than waiting until nearly 2 1/2 which is when they typically do it. My little one isn’t saying any words and tbh if you google it autism comes up straight away…my little one didn’t really use gestures till after the age of 1 either but this is still very much normal too.,, I think with role play and pretend play it can be harder to see when they aren’t talking but things like hair brushing pretending to sweep, are classed as this.., I rang my hv Concerned and she came out and said she wasn’t concerned he seemed fine he was following instructions pointing etc, and would see how he was at his check at 2 year 4 month.. I’m a worrier and have since gone private with speech therapy, more to help my anxiety or to see if she coukd see something I was missing xx
