What are your biggest pet peeves as a mum? Rational or notš¤£
Just for fun, letās have a rant! What can you absolutely not stand people doing? Some of mine are:
- people trying to soothe my baby instead of giving him back to me š«
- people making comments because I sometimes purchase dearer products e.g water wipes, Rascals nappies, expensive pram
-people thinking they automatically have a right to MY time because theyāre related my baby. Like yes I get that you want to see him but if I have plans already set, Iām not going to cancel them for you
-people walking across my babyās playmate in their shoes. My baby does tummy time on it and will literally face plant it on a daily basis and then people just come in and walk dirt across it. Like can you not š
Can anybody else relate to these?

Old women in supermarkets commenting on my little boy crying saying āOh, are you hungry dear?ā when Iām obviously rushing and frazzled.
Yes. He is. Now move out my way before I push my trolley over your toes š
People parking in parent/child spaces without a child is top.
Commenting that I should cuddle my baby when he literally hates cuddles and has done since day one. Trust me, it was already a tough pill to swallow when my own son didnāt want a snuggle, I donāt need a constant reminder like Iām leaving him on his own on for my pleasure š
And if I donāt want to go to a group or class because my baby is just in a rubbish mood. Someone will say āyou shouldnāt let him rule your lifeā. It wonāt be fun for anyone if he just cries will it?!
My worst is my mum nonstop commenting on all the new regulations. Tells me itās all stupid and was never like it before, apparently wrapping babyās up in cotton wool will make them fearful of life. Wouldnāt exactly say things like the hot shot method, no suncream under 6 months etc is wrapping him in cotton wool..
She also is convinced she knows him just as well / more than me. āAwhhh hes teething he needs calpol donāt be tightā heās just tired thatās why heās fussing..
Cars parking on the pavement or not stopping to let you let you cross! I get roadrage without even driving š
Old people (strangers in shops etc) touching my baby without asking if they can, touching his hands or desperately trying to make him smile, especially when heās tired and grumpy and then acting frustrated if he decides not to be a performing monkey for them š¤£ and old man literally tickled his feet when I was on a walk the other day and he was trying to sleep.
Older moms who say, "When my son was born, I put him to sleep on his stomach, and nothing ever happened."
Okay, so what?! Do you know something called evolution?! You discover things and try to learn...š„“š„“š„“
