TTC clock is ticking!

So my husband has said we only have until his next birthday (January) to get pregnant (he’s worried about being too old).

I plan on sex everyday through my ovulation window (have the Flo app).

Does anyone have any other tips to conceive?

My doctor recommended every other day for better sperm quality, if that helps. If your doctor is willing (depending on age and history) you might want to have a hormone panel done. My doctor did bloodwork day 1,3,5,7,9,etc after ovulation until I got my period to test levels (following a miscarriage). That way you know if there's anything you need to look into? Good luck!

Using the 1st Day of your Period as Day 1, have sex on Day 10, 12, 14, 16.
This way you'll have a steady input of sperm inside your body during your ovulation period.
Advise him NOT to masturbate. And both of should avoid alcohol.

No weed and No booze — for both of you. Sex every other day for better sperm quality. Light exercise for both of you. No masturbating for him.

Ovulation tests + Flo app.

Eat healthy and get enough sleep.
Maybe add a multivitamin for both of you.
Enjoy the process but don't have too much sex. Track your cycle with ovulation sticks.

Sending baby dust!
Good luck!

Pink stork has a product for reproductive health. Look into it. I know it helped me. I didn't even finish the bottle and got pregnant.
But I also don't drink, I was a healthy weight. Ate pretty healthy. Took a ton of vitamins. I went all out. I finally got pregnant when I stopped the ovulation tests but I was pretty regular.
We did it whenever we wanted on my ovulation week, but especially 2 days before. And I recommend the laying down after sex for 10 to 20 min.
When I stopped focusing on it, though.. it happened. I know women hate to hear that.

How old are you and your husband? Men can have kids for a very long time. It’s the women that have more of a kind of clock.

How old are you both i fell within about 3 months off pill both times at 30 and 37 so not necessarily young at all

Yes agree @Gabrielle

Data really helped. After no success after 6 months of trying, I religiously used ovulation sticks every time I peed to really map my pattern, starting right after period ended… turned out I had two LH spikes… and had only ever been catching the second one (which would have been too late.) I actually ovulated day 11-12… as soon as we moved our timing up, I got pregnant first try. Everyone is different.

Check ur basal body temperature and track your cervical mucus..must track it BB early morning when u wake up..slack off the caffeine intake eat a balanced diet..remind u pistachios, sunflower seeds, almonds, chia seeds, walnuts,Brazil nuts will help to you can eat them as a snack their good for fertility too

Avatar

How old is he? Men have a drop off in fertility at around 40 years old, but they are still generally more fertile than women at that age. Or does he just feel old?

Wouldn’t have sex every single day - it will soon become too much. Aim for every other day in your fertile period and track ovulation using body basal temp - it’s the only way ovulation is pinpointed and confirmed. Good luck x

Clearblue Digital Ovulation tests are apparently great! Worked for a few of my friends like 1-3 months after using them and all reported that it gave them completely different days than Flo app

Don’t let him put you on a timeline!! Mine is trying to do the same lol and I’m not ready. I told him when i feel like it’s time that’s when we will!

fair enough, my daughter is 20m and there’s just no way right now. I would not be a good mom to 2 under 2 or even 2 under 3 😂

Definitely track ovulation either test strips or BBT or both, app is just a guess

You dont have to have sex alot when I conceive with my second I did at home insemination and only 2 in peak and ovulation baby dust to you and yo all who are trying

I’m 34 and he is 40. For him it’s more that he doesn’t want to be an old dad. I’d probably cap trying past 36 for myself anyway.

Avatar

he’s 40. We already have a 2 year old. Think he just doesn’t want to be old when bringing up children.

Pregnacare conception max - I was skeptical as we had been trying for 11 months but caught the first month of taking them. I’ve spoken to a few Mum’s since who had very similar experiences with them, no harm in giving them a go!

I'm so not meant to be a mother.

My kids won't listen to me get into stuff when they know they aren't supposed to. Telling me no all the time. Only listen to their dad. Laughs when I correct them. I spend most of my time yelling at them because they don't want to listen to me at all. My husband said that I shouldn't have kids. And I am believing him on it. I was never meant to be a mother now. I won't hurt my kids I just want to disappear and make everyone else's lives better without me.

One and done… or not?

32ftm. I’m starting to feel so much pressure to have another baby soon as I wean from breastfeeding so they can be close in age and be friends, but I don’t feel ready for pregnancy and newborn trenches again 😭 my husband and I are all we’ve got. Having just one baby without a village has been really tough. Am I being unrealistic wanting another one soon?

Tests

So I had a blood test at the drs bc I keep getting positive tests when the blood test was negative what could this mean? Hubby says the tests are negative and said he can’t see anything. Negative image down below.

Am I pregnant?

I lightly spotted almost 5 days ago, which is not common for me before my period.
My period was supposed to come today. I should have tested in the morning but its 5:30pm.
Is there a second line??

Anyone have this happen before?

We were not trying to conceive, used protection and had sex on week 2 of my cycle (accidentally on my peak ovulation day). Week 3 we had Flu A. Week 4 my period did not come (it’s very regular). I tested and it was negative (2 different brands).
What should have been week 2 of my next cycle (now 6 weeks post last period), I had light red/ pink spotting for one day when I wiped. The following week, I tested again, still negative, but this time almost all the dye was in the negative space, which I’ve never seen happen before. The area where it shows one horizontal line for negative and a plus sign for positive, the horizontal line was super faded at the 3 minute mark, and the negative vertical line in the next window was VERY dark. Now I’m on week 8 of all this, period did not show up yesterday. Nothing in my life has changed (no additional stress, no other illness, no changes in diet or exercise, etc).

Has anyone gone through this and NOT been pregnant? I’m super nervous as we thought we were done having kids.

PS. I know I should go get a blood test, does anyone know if urgent care will do that? I’m past being convinced by a pee test.
