Single mom UK

To all the single moms in the UK... How do you do it? Is it difficult? My baby is 4 months old and I'm considering leaving my partner. All we do is argue and I feel nothing positive towards him anymore. He's lazy and selfish. But I don't know how I'd get housing, how I'd pay rent, how I'd earn money. Feel free to share your opinion or your story. Please. I'm really struggling x

They say not to divorce until baby is 1 year old. Women change after birth, plus hormones, plus sensitivity to all the things ... It is hard, and I'm struggling too.. But I'd wait until my LO is 1 year old and then see. Men are just like that, unfortunately. You need to give them a detailed instruction what to do otherwise nothing will get done. I find it difficult to say the same stuff all over again to my husband, but he won't understand otherwise.. And my son needs his dad too, especially this young. Maybe try to get relationship counselling?

If he’s always been like this why did you stay together for 5 years and have a baby? 😅

I wasn’t asking to be judgemental but hoping for you to see all the reasons you stayed together and chose to have a child together as a reminder that the newborn trenches are HARD on most relationships but obvs that’s not the case here 😬😅

Sorry girl! Perhaps you should just ditch him for good then x

I’m a single mom and feel much happier then I was in a toxic relationship. It’s tough don’t get me wrong, but if he’s not helping then it sounds like you’re pretty much doing it on your own anyway? Financially look into universal credit, I didn’t think I’d be eligible but still get some help from them x

I stayed with my daughters dad until she was 10 months old, she’s 14 months now. Every time he phoned me when he was at work & I was home with her he made me annoyed every thing about him irritated me as I constantly felt belittled & attacked. He constantly stated all my family & friends. He rarely helped with the care of our daughter. Was bad with money. We had his two sons twice a week who are only 7 & 10 & I did most of the parenting when we had them. I tried to make it work for the sake of the 3 kids. But didn’t know if I was coming or going & felt that he didn’t have love for our daughter. Since I kicked him out so many lies have been revealed & it proves I wasn’t going crazy. Me & my daughter are both physically & mentally better. He does not see her or pay maintenance. I even met with his X so the kids could see one another last week & it helped my heart. The best thing you can do for both of you is leave you both deserve happiness & love n you shouldn’t need to beg or nag xx
