Planned C Section

I have a planned c section tomorrow, it’s all very last minute as at my growth scan Friday baby was measuring smaller than dr would have liked and my options were to go straight down for induction or book this c section.
My date is tomorrow but the midwives said I will get a phone call when to come down to the hospital…. As I’m relying on a lift getting down there I’m assuming they will spare me some time to make my arrival? It’s a 40 minute drive from mine to my dads who is taking me there & then 10mins to hospital. Anyone have experience with this situation? 😅😬

Jesus, aren’t you going to lister in Stevenage (profile says hitchin)

There is usually 2 time slots in one day. More important people went in the mornings (high risk) they called around 8-9 and how to be there by 10-11 so 2 hours after being called. If I was you I would go to your dads first thing and just chill there with him in the day as they could ring you at any time with a cancellation or a time slot sooner then expected as you wasn’t already scheduled, a lot of the time it’s when beds are available x

Sorry I explained that abit backwards, I will be going to lister so he’ll be coming to get my from my house in Hitchin to take me over there but he lives in Bedford so would take a little time. By the sounds of what you’re saying I’m not going to be rushed off like I’m assuming 😂 thankyou x

Oh no they’ll give you around a hour or two to get there. But there is always a train and bus if need be that’s what I did x

When I had a planned section they’ll normally schedule times in the day based on medical needs. There were 4 on the day I went and I was the 2nd down and went down at 11am so they’ll probably give you a rough time of when you’ll be going in! X
