Raspberry leaf tea and dates

I’m heading into my 4th c section in about 8 weeks and just wondered if anyone has tried the raspberry leaf tea and dates. Is this only for a vaginal delivery? If you did try it, did it seem to make a difference?

I tried it, was planning on vaginal delivery. Ended up with emergency C section as my labour didn't progress so for me it didn't do anything at all. It was tasty though so I guess you've got nothing to lose.

I had the raspberry leaf tea from I think around 34 weeks with my first. Ended up having to have a c section at 37 weeks. Not sure whether it makes a difference for a c section, I think the idea is it reduces the time it takes to fully dilate. I could be wrong though. I didn’t bother with our second, had a c section at 39 weeks.

I wouldn’t do this if you have a scheduled c section unless you’re okay with trying a vaginal birth.

Tried them both starting 34weeks and didn’t dilate anymore after 5cm. Ended up with a C-section but I don’t think it does anything for C-section, mainly suppose to be for vaginal from what I researched . Never hurts to try though 🤷🏾‍♀️

Raspberry leaf tea softens the cervix in preparation for a vaginal birth so wouldn’t recommend if you’re having a c-section, it’ll be pointless for you!
Dates are really good at keeping stools soft so they may help with post-partum pooping as it can be a bit scary at first but it’s not a necessary thing to have, they didn’t work that well for me I preferred pure apple juice xx
