Hello! I want to start weaning my baby from breast milk to formula. I’ve tried giving him some formula (enfomil then similac) and he hated it and wouldn’t drink it.
Does anyone have suggestions for formula that worked for them when weaning their baby? Not sure if there’s one that tastes similar to breast milk.

I’ve tried 3 different kinds and my baby does not like them.

Are you mixing with breast milk? Or giving it separate?

My baby and my friends babies prefer Kendamil and HIPP as Enfamil and Similac tasted like metal.

Have you tried warming the formula? That’s what helped my son. Also, the nipple flow matters too! I use the flow 4 nipple for Philips avent bottles.

I have not mixed it with breastmilk since I’m nervous he won’t like it and waste the breastmilk lol.
And yes I’ve warmed it!
He doesn’t like baby food these days either so he’s just picky I guess?

If you have an once to spare I would try mixing it, you can do equal part formula or add more breast milk that formula. My daughter didn’t care for the formula unless u gradually added it to the breast milk, we use similac. I’ve heard good things about kendamil!

Try kendamil! Or byheart. My baby loves the taste of those 2

Yeah I’ve gotten a few suggestions for Kendall.
do you mix the formula with water still before adding to breastmilk? Or just add the powder to the breastmilk?

I usually put the water to where I need it (2oz) then put the breastmilk in (we did 3oz) then add 1scoop. Since baby is picky I would mix formula as the can directs for 2oz bottle then poor out half making 1oz formula then add 2oz breast milk and see if he will tolerate it… it would be a 3oz bottle once combined

Goat milk: kabrita or Kendamil
I suggest start with one ounce or two, to test if they are not allergic. My baby girl loves kabrita milk.
