Raspberry Leaf Tea / Labour Prep/Tips

37 weeks and I’m feeling ready to start preparing for labour!

I’ve started eating dates… I’ve heard about raspberry leaf tea but have no idea what brand to go for if anyone has any suggestions? Also if there is anything else to support the labour/ reduce tearing etc. I’m all ears! 🙏 thank you x

You can buy any raspberry leaf tea really but ive been using hot tea mama's "the final push" tea as I liked that one best. Im terms of labour prep, using your birth ball regularly will help get the baby into a good engaged position and perineal massage is supposed to help reduce tearing. Maybe also look into different breathing techniques to help when the contractions start can help you feel more in control.

I use the Holland and barrat one as it’s purely rasberry leaf tea and not mixed with anything else x

I'm also using the hot tea mamas "the final push" I've really enjoyed it so far and hope that it's working! Each bag makes two cups of tea, start with one cup a day and you can gradually increase to three cups if you wish. I've also been eating lots of fresh pineapple and from 36 weeks onwards you can eat dates (6 a day) and that's supposed to help as well! Also perineal massage, bouncing on a birthing ball, yoga stretches and breathing techniques
