Hi everyone,
I'm asking for advice and reassurance.
I feel really bad, I haven't taken my daughter who is over 4 and a half swimming yet. She was a covid baby and I hate swimming at the best of times and not a confident swimmer. She's just started school and I really feel I need to expose her to swimming before she starts at school.
My parents weren't keen on swimming and never took me. I don't want that for my daughter. Also classes are expensive, is it worth it. I might try classes once she starts at school.
Thanks in advance.

Classes are definitely worth it

classes deffo worth it. like i am not a confident swimmer (i am like doggy paddle) but as soon as restrictions lifted i took my little one swimming so would been around 9 months old we done local council swimming mum and baby classes and done TurtleTots we done both of these for few years. i dropped turtle tots last year. but there is so much more to swimming - learning how to be safe and swimming skills yeah- but showing how can be fun and beneficial. my little girl has a disability and i feel the water and lessons have really helped develop her mobility. and she learnt to walk independently this year! we do ASN sessions with local council still so i can still be in water with her just incase and reassure/support when needed but she can swim independently fairly well considering. but can help physical/mental health and great bonding session.
