Hi everyone. My 8 wk old has suspected GERD (lots of spit up, pain, excess gas). He’s EBF and we’ve been on omeprazole for 5 weeks. I’ve also removed dairy from my diet (day 11) and we’re not seeing any reduction in his symptoms. He screams after every feed, clearly in pain - it can sometimes go on for hours. It’s truly awful. Things I’ve tried/ am already doing:
- making sure he’s not still hungry by offering other boob (he never is)
- burping frequently during and after feeds
- changing positions (feeding upright) to limit air intake
- tongue tie has been corrected
- we’ve seen a baby osteo to remove tension in his jaw
Any one else going through this and have any words of wisdom? I dread every feed and am too scared to feed him in public.

Hey, I’m going through the exact same with my 6 week old son. Are you still suffering too? Or perhaps you found something that helped? 🧡

Hey Sasha, sorry you’re in this boat too! It’s truly awful. And unfortunately we’re still going through it. I’ve decided to switch to expressed
BM in bottles (Nuk teats) so that I can get more support with the feeding, but it’s not really making a difference.
Also increased the Omeprazole dose but not seeing the impact from that either. So no answers, just solidarity and sympathy ❤️💪🏻
Any nappy recs advice for nappy leaks at night? My 7 month old has just started consistently leaking, I’ve sized up in nappies and tried Aldi and rascals but no luck.
Has anyone had better results with pull ups? He’s just big enough now I think but I wasn’t sure if Aldi pull ups are any good?

My 8 week old is still waking every 3 hours for milk. She strains, grunts and wriggles all night long. Its so loud that I am awake all night. I’ve tried infacol, dentinox, colief. We have changed her formula a week ago. She’s been to an osteopath (who said she was the calmest baby she’d ever seen 🙄) i’m at my wits end. I’m exhausted.

So it’s 6.35am and baby has slept through the night so obviously I have been waking every 30 mins panicking that somethings wrong and now wondering if I should wake him up. 🤣
He is EBF so my boobs are massive and leaking everywhere but yet the little prince keeps on sleeping. 😴
I really want to go back to sleep but I just know he will wake up the second I get comfy and start to drift off. 😩
Bloody kids!! 🤷🏼♀️🙈

No hate for having a sleepy baby please my first was an awful sleeper so I know how triggering these posts can be 😂… but
My 2 week old slept for almost 6hours last night and we woke him even though he seemed pretty tired and would have slept longer. He’s been a sleepy baby since birth but feeds a lot throughout the day and has surpassed his birth weight but my husband woke me last night to say we need to wake the baby to feed. I said I’d get up and pump and let the baby sleep but he said we shouldn’t let him go over 6 hours without a feed….
Should we wake him? Thoughts below please :)

My baby has just turned three months and he’s gone back to sleeping like he’s a newborn, so unsettled all night especially after his first stretch.
He was doing 6/7 hour stretches consistently and now it’s like he’s completely forgotten how to link his sleep cycles.
Does this get better or is this how sleep will be now?
