Hi, has anyone been induced at James Cook for going overdue?
How over did you need to be?
What was your experience?
Thank you!

I was induced at James Cook but because I went in for reduced movements, I was induced 1 day before my due date.
My experience overall was brilliant.
One of the women inserting my pessary did a sweep without my consent though which I found extremely painful and also quite unsettling.
But being induced as a whole was completely fine, I did get an epidural though.

I was induced at 39 weeks due to having a ‘big baby’
My experience was brilliant my midwife was lovely and had a student midwife in with her aswell who was also really lovely!
I was 3cm dilated so jumped the first steps of induction and got my waters broke and eventually started on the hormone drip
While getting induced the midwives stay with you so while I was in the delivery suit for 7 hours we bonded and it was like having my friends in the room.
I heard so many horror stories about induction but it was so much nicer than my natural labour with my first
James cook also only allow you to go a week overdue before they induce or get you booked in for induction x
