What do you guys make of this ⬇️

Sorry if this is a little long and confusing, I’ll do my best to explain as best I can, just wanted to gauge what women in the same step-mum boat make of this.

My partner of 7 years has had a strained relationship with his children for some time now, the backstory is long but, in a nutshell, BM cut contact after we had our own baby.

My partner has been going via school to receive updates on kids development etc. and sometimes speaks to them through the school phone or goes in for supervised visits every now and then to see the children during school hours.

He receives regular reports and updates from the school and a recent one from last week has just been sent to him. In this report one of the kids (9yo) has said he would like for his dad to “stop cheating on his mum and be kind again so that they can get back together”.

It seems a really odd thing to say for a child who’s parents haven’t been together since he was 9 months old, on top of the part I’ve played in their lives for the past 7 years, so I wonder who I am to them if not their step-mum and partner to their dad, mother of their other sibling.

Just wanted to see if any of you had any thoughts on this, clearly a very confused comment to make, but it’s struck a cord with me all the same and feeling a little disheartened considering how long I’ve been around and how much a part I’ve played.

Child is sadly going through parental alienation. Have you tried going to court?

What Angel said, parental alienation unfortunately, 100% being coached. Unfortunately I have no advice - only sympathy, as we’re going through it too 😔
