Jealous of SIL

I have been so jealous of my SIL lately. She just gave birth to her second kid and there were som complications with him but he turned out fine after a week in the NICU. I’ve noticed that my in laws were never there for me during PP and never cared about me only my son. I struggled with PPD, PPA, and PP psychosis- like literally could not be left alone with my son without having a break down that somebody was in the house trying to kill me and take my son. They literally never cared- even when I asked for help like to come over or if me and my son could go over or if we could just do something with them they never cared. Now that my SIL has her son they’re so attentive to her, never leave her alone, literally my in laws are staying at her house. They revolve everything around her and her son. I know that’s there actual daughter but it just hurts that they couldn’t have cared less about me but now that she’s PP everything revolves around her. I’ve told my husband this and he understands but everybody just keeps telling me I don’t know what she’s going through and she could have the same issues I did 🙄 I just think it’s bullshit honestly.
Backstory- my MIL literally threw fits if I didn’t include her in things during my pregnancy, she seemed so happy when we first told them, she got upset when we told them nobody would be coming to the hospital so we could have that time to bond with our son. When my SIL got pregnant everything kind of changed for the worse lol

Okay. I’m not saying this to be mean, and I know tough love might not be the best right now but that’s their daughter. They may not have been comfortable with you, like that. But you did show them what it may look like and how to be there for their daughter. I understand the general upset, yes. I would never expect my in laws to show up for me as a woman/mother. But mine are older and very set in their ways. Did your husband, their son ever ask for the help?

But then invalidating your feelings and experiences is crap. They can stfu about her having it worse etc. and that’s as a month long nicu mom.

Well yours are better I feel. Mine do it and then taunt me for being not as good as they were And blow their own trumpet in front of others saying they are so good
