I’m 16 weeks pregnant and have started suffering with awful headaches/migraines. Never had them before. Has anybody else had the same and what helped?

I suffer of migraines ever since i had my first period cause mines are hormonal ,so i get monthly migraines around my period or ovulation …However first pregnancy was a blessing were I didn’t had a single migraine but this time around i am in agony ,every few days i wake up with a massive throbbing of half a head ,blurred vision ,vomiting all day long ( can’t eat or drink nothing ) ,loosing balance ,can’t stand light or sharp noises…i have never suffered more in my entire life ,I can’t take any medication ,is very ,very hard ….try using ice and or hot water bottles

I've been getting bad headaches too, and today didn't no what it was to start off with, while at work, started my day with throbbing headache but thought im well enough to still go to work, but then pretty much started get symptoms like Ancas and just broke down at work so they sent me home. Called my midwife as was bit worried... she said it sounded like a form of migraine (forgot what she named it) but she told me to monitor my headaches as if they become regular to come in for a check up, check blood pressure etc. She said just to properly rest up for now. Day in bed in dark room, on off sleeping has made me feel alot better, eating dry crackers and apple slices and drinking lots of water, keeping myself dosed up on Paracetamol, but still feel like an absolute zombie. Xx

I got them before pregnancy but they’ve heightened with both my daughter and this time. I think mine are probably hormonal too. I take paracetamol and go to sleep in a dark room. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Water helps… drink lots of water at least 4-5 litres a day and you will feel the difference
