Please tell me I’m not the only one!

My daughter has become sooo mean to everyone!! She bites and has tantrums, her and her older brother constantly fight, and she loves shhhhhing us and saying no! These terrible 2s have me crying! How is everyone else surviving!?? That’s just some of what I have been dealing with. Her brother wasn’t like this at 2!!!

I was literally talking to my husband about this last night. I was like her older sister wasn’t this bad, right lol? I think it seems worse because she has another sibling to actually mess with and annoy back who doesn’t know how to respond properly. Whereas my first only had me all day and I never accepted that behavior toward me so she learned to be nice faster lol.

Sending hugs! 2 really is rough. I say my 2yo girl acts like a drunk cave man.
At daycare, everyone tells me how much of an angel she is and how well behaved she is, but at home, she wants to box every night. She will talk so much crap to us too. Rarely listens. I will say that I’d rather her act out at home than at school/daycare haha
For the bitting/hitting/spitting, I found that if I give her a healthy redirection to that energy, that SOMETIMES helps. Like I’ll offer a chewy toy or something she can chew on if she feels like biting, and tell her “you can bite this, but we don’t bite others”. If she hits someone (like the dog 🙄), I’ll tell her to hit her little drum set and tell her “you can hit your drums, but we don’t hit others.” If she spits, I have her brush her teeth and tell her she can only spit in the sink.
These don’t always work, and sometimes I feel like I’m repeating myself, but for the most part it stops her from acting crazy. I hope this helps!

Terrible two phase

It’s a lot. My toddler is a sweet kid at heart but he takes all of his anger and frustration out on me. Like another person said. He’s apparently great at school but he comes home and unleashes the monster lmao. Constantly pushing my buttons (literally and figuratively…. Funny story, he busted the curtain holder off the wall the other day by holding down the button on my new standing desk beyond the set limit….)

But yeah he really is a jerk to us sometimes… he’ll come into our bed in the morning and lay down next to me then push my face away (while I’m laying on my own pillow…) and say “mommy face, leave!” 😂 or I’ll go to get him out of bed and he’ll scream and say “no mommy, just daddy!”

It might just be a phase because when they’re teething and it’s kind of painful they’re gonna take that aggression out
