I was made homeless by my parents with my baby on Sunday I have a council house but lived with them as it’s not liveable atm but I’ve got 700 pound left after getting carpets laid this week and buying a second hand sofa and that’s got to buy everything else for the house and be enough for me and my baby to live on on top of that my parents are now demanding I pay them back for the carpets which they’d paid for me and I just don’t have the money at all does universal credit offer a loan or an advance and how fast can I get that? and does anyone else have any advice on where I can get a loan or something I don’t want to end up in debt but I can’t not put food in my sons belly too any helps appreciated as I’m really in a bit of a difficult situation and I’m feeling heartbroken it’s got to this

I believe you can get a UC advanced payment. Only if this is something you haven’t received in the past. Best chance is call UC and speak to an advisor.
Sending love x x

Also try the DAF payment for white goods, speak to UC ornyour housing officer if you have one there should be a little more help for you out there x

You can get an advance payment for example i recently got one and I have 2 kids i was given £800.... they take a % away each month to cover the repayment can be spread over a 1yr/2yr or if you come into money you can pay it all off!
There very strict on the reasons to give it, I needed mine for clothing and council tax and I was given the green light !
However if you say your in debt or have bills - They'll just say no.... so have to be accurate in what your saying 💜
Also your could ask your council about a discretionary housing payment, it can take a couple months to process but you don't have to pay it back 👌 when I first moved after being homeless and finding my feet i was given £800 a month for about 1yr!
It really helped me out x

So sorry to hear this. I’m not sure about the UC side of things but if there are any food banks or baby banks in your area they could help with you and your son for now. Also maybe look into the NHS Healthy Start scheme.

have a look into advance payments, and also look on local “don’t dump donate” pages on Facebook for home bits that will make your home functional for now. Usually if you post in there, people can see what you need and if they have anything they can help too x

You can get advance loan ASAP if you ask in Job centre
