sitting up
Hi everyone!! Is anyone else in the same position, my LO can roll over from back to front but she isn’t able to sit up yet :( I’m a first time mom so maybe i’m over thinking but is this normal?
To the mommas who’s babies can sit up what did you do to encourage this milestone please? x

My LG will do anything but rollover (it’s like she’s a contortionist 😂) but is slowly getting better at sitting up. It will happen soon, especially with a lot of practice, and these milestones are just indicators of what they should be able to do - they’re not in a specific order. Don’t worry, they will get there eventually!
Just keep doing a lot of tummy time to build up their core strength, and don’t feel bad using pillows around them to help support them sitting up 😊
My LO has no interest in rolling but can almost sit unaided (He likes to rock back and forth while sitting which of course throws him of balance which stops him from sitting unaided).
The reason he can't roll but can sit is because he hates tummy time now that he knows he can sit. First he would be sitting on my legs and then I've had him sitting in the corner of the sofa supported by cushions with his toys. Also when sitting on the floor with him I've had him sitting between my legs. I think this has all helped.
Also its totally normal. My first didnt roll until she learned to crawl so was super late with the rolling milestone. Shes a happy and healthy normal (and very crazy) almost 3 year old.
