37 week induction

Hi! First time pregnancy 37 weeks today and being pressured into an induction bc of a few “high” BP readings due to stress . All lab work normal , no other symptoms. Baby is looking great! Have an induction scheduled for Monday and really upset/ nervous . I don’t want all the interventions and worried my body and baby won’t respond well

Anyone else have this experience? Any positives experiences you can share about 37 week inductions? I know everyone is different but hearing positive things can be helpful 🙏🏼 thanks

I got induced at 37 weeks for a big baby. Had the balloon catheter for 24 hours, then they admitted me and took me to the labour ward and broke my waters. Contractions didn’t start by themselves so went onto the drip! I was still able to get into the big bath with this (not the birthing pool), and able to move around. I was on the max dose for around 15 hours but my body just didn’t contract further than 5cm. Contractions were intense but I only had gas and air for them. Ended in a c section for me unfortunately, but the actual induction process was fine! No horror story here despite it ending with a c section. My body just wasn’t ready with it being 3 weeks early! Wish you all the best! Also they were right, LB was 9lb1 at 37 weeks 😂🐷🩵
