We are pretty set on Talia for our little girl and I've loved the name forever. However I myself have a hard to pronounce name and always swore I wouldn't inflict that on my child! I've only recently become aware that there are a few different ways people pronounce the name, with two of them being used equally often. I only have one pronunciation of the name that I love so wondered how you would interpret it (we are UK based so these are with a British accent in mind!)

My daughter’s name is Taliya. I picked it with the second pronunciation in mind but I have friends/ nursery practitioners who call her the first. I love either way tho!

I'd say its a regional difference so depends where you live. I know a little girl called Tali and she is known as Tally but there are still people local to her who sometimes call her Tar-lee and theyre down south. Its like bath/barf, castle/carstle!!!

Love the name! I've taught a few and they have been pronounced Tar-lee-uh or Tah-lee-uh

I think Talia is correct for option 1 and Tahlia for 2. Same with Dalia and Dahlia.

I'd say it Tal-ee-a but I'm dyslexic and say it how it sounds. Like saying Italia without the I.

i'm in the UK and i think i would automatically pronounce it as Tally-uh, but also wouldn't think anything of it if someone were to correct me and say it was Tahh-lee-uh. maybe it depends on where in the UK you live, cos I would pronounce Talia in the same way I would pronounce it in the name Natalia, but i have heard that name pronounced with a Tahh-lee-Uh ending too!

Depends if they are black or brown I tend to pronounce it Tahh-lee-ah and I pronounce Thalia tally-uh

My daughters name is Taliyah and its pronounced tahh lee uh but Talia i would pronounce tallyuh

I have it on my list but spelled Tahlia

Tal ya

I’m from near Manchester and I pronounce it the first way and my fiancé is from Norfolk and he pronounces it the second way 🤣

I would say the first option but I know a girl spell it the way you do and goes by the swcond

Tahl-ya
