We’ve been using a playpen since my LB was able to crawl and move around!
When my LB is not in the playpen, he’s into EVERYTHING, which I know can be normal for most but it’s constant trying to keep up with him and move everything from his path that he shouldn’t be touching etc.
We’re not quite walking independently yet but wondering when people might start getting rid of the playpen?
I don’t think we’re at that stage yet as he is quite content still playing within but I guess I’m just trying to work out when will the playpen no longer work? and when is it time to start baby proofing the rest of the house 🤣🤣🤣

We got rid of ours before she was walking, but it's wooden, so we used half of it, to section off part of the room to keep her safe. Now we use that half around her dad's desk & she has the run of the room/house

Id like to add, she's been independently walking since 1 and she's now 15 months old

He’s probably into everything because he can reach everything now he’s not in the play pen, I think the more you have him out of it the less he’ll touch everything.

Mine has been walking independently for months but we still have his playpen up, as we keep his toys there. However, our is more like a fence and has a door that we keep always open, so it kinda makes it like a little play corner

My LB started walking at 10 months so his play pen came down about 11 months. He was getting really frustrated in it even though it was massive!
My house is now baby proofed but hes started to climb on the dog to get to things so my life is just a riot now 😅

We never had one, we just have a gate on the living room and don't keep anything she isn't allowed within arms reach

Never had one, she just roams the house!
