Anyone who frequents or has given birth at the RVI, where is best to park? And where are the supposed bays for labouring partners??
I went in for the first time today for a CTG as my baby is measuring small, and we parked our car in a car park opposite A&E, but we got lucky with one space available!

I had my baby there in may and just had to park in the normal multi story car park. There’s apparently labour bays (I couldn’t find them!) but your partner would need to move the car out anyway after a certain amount of time and park elsewhere unfortunately!

I gave birth in March and we also parked in the multi story, there's always spaces free

Thanks and was it free in the multi-storey by any chance or at least somewhat cheaper than £2.40 an hour around the edge of the hosp? 🤣🤣

I believe (I can’t remember 100%!) that it’s £2 an hour but after 24 hours I think it caps at around £30? I was in from 9am on a Thursday and left at about 5pm the next day and I’m sure we only paid £30

I Parked just opposite the leazers bit on the other side of the road

I think you get a reduced rate if you park in the multi-storey and ask on reception at maternity! It was that way when I was in there but I was in for a little while

Thanks ladies but I no longer need this info :/ I went into hospital two days later for the routine growth scan and my baby had passed away. Gave birth to him at almost 33 weeks on 10th October at the RVI. He was beautiful 💔
