Following as I’d love to hear experiences.

My first son was born there 5 years ago during the pandemic, it was a bit chaotic and I could definitely feel strain on everyone. My second one was born 2,5 years ago and I had an amazing experience. I had a planned c-section and I can't fault a thing.
So glad! do you remember if postnatally you got checked on every 2 hours? This was something they said they would implement after my complaint and really hope they followed through with it! I unfortunately had terrible staff who just shouted at me throughout my labour and denied me pain relief, I wasn’t checked on a single time postnatally and thrown out 10 hours after giving birth even though I was completely traumatised and had countless vaginal stitches and was in so much pain. 😢
yes unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about it as I was treated appallingly but I do think it is just luck and who you have on the day as have friends who had positive experiences there. I had my second baby at Kingston and it couldn’t have been a more different experience. The staff there were amazing and so caring and empathetic.

I had two birth experiences there and both awful 😞

I gave birth at the birth centre and it was wonderful. Had to stay one night in the postnatal ward and it was not exactly that great, but overall ok.

My birth almost 3 years ago wasn’t the greatest either, my midwife was on her phone watching videos and laughing out loud! She was locum and counting care less. Luckily a senior came in for the delivery and she was great! I also made a complaint about my experience with the locum midwife and some issues I had when my baby was moved to nicu
