Hi all. So my son who is 4 and currently non verbal has really started to hum along to nursery rhymes and the YouTube videos he watches. He’s also started to follow a lot of gestures such as clapping and pointing and following to nursery rhymes eg. Happy and you know it. He’s never done this before and I’m just wondering has any other parent had this with their child and did it to progress in to speech and if so how long was the wait. Holding on to hope 🥹

Your little is most likely a gestalt language processor. Will learn "Red Car" and then break it down later. Learning in "chunks" rather than sounding out like an anylitical language processor or the "normal" way. My little started talking a lot the December after he turned 4. Remember their own milestones in their own time. My little has a long way to go but further than I ever imagined after diagnosis. 😊
